DEMOLITION OF MORAL
VALUES IN THE NAME OF CULTURE IN PAKISTAN
Pakistan, a
state which came into being in the name of Islam. A state which was considered
to be the only Islamic centred state in the whole south asia. After effortless
struggle of great leaders and numerous sacrifices of our ancestors this state
came into existence not only to equip their upcomng generation with a better
place to live but also to safeguard the cultural values, traditons and beliefs.
A state born in
1947 with lots of hopes of optimism and positivity if we see it now where it
is? If we compare present with the past everything has been changed since then.
I don’t say that don’t progress or equip
yourself with the changing environment neither I say become stagnant and
shut your eyes. But that doesn’t really mean that you forget your originality
or uniqueness that makes you differet from others and indulge yourself such
that you lose your own identity in the race becoming updated or in simpler
words modern.
From politics to
media, from home to school, college, university or office, from roads to parks
or shopping malls, everywhere there is corruption, fear, terror and
pessimism. Hope and positivism are just
lost.
If I talk about
politics, the turn wise polictical rivalries are into the race by pulling
eachother’s leg with the help of media. Media on the other hand which began its
status with a single channel and now there are hundreds in number competing
only for ratings regardless of what they are showing or promoting. In my
opinion media is fueling pessimism more whatever the source or medium may be.
Then comes the
home where young generation thoughts of being more accurate then their elders
and disrespects their values and beliefs by simply figuring them as old ones.
Same is the case at schools, colleges and universities latest fashion adoption
is given more priority then quality education by the students irrespective of
teacher’s requirement.
The involement
of indian and english values in our islamic values has ruined the our current
and forthcoming generation. This state since its birth is surviving safely from
its enemies and from us only because of some miracle otherwise in my opinion we
haven’t left any effort to destroy it with our own hands. The dream of a
peaceful Pakistan has already been broken.
May ALLAH make
us the source to keep our country safe and sound.
