India’s Failed attempt to Land Moon and Memes in Pakistan! What’s the Actual Lesson!

According to official sources, India failed in its attempt to be the 4th country to make a soft landing on the moon when its lander crashed on the lunar surface. The lander diverged from its intended path 1.3 miles (2.1 kilometers) above the surface of the moon and lost communication with Earth on early Saturday.
Honestly speaking, I would say that it is more of a success than failing because WOW, such a less margin and other 190 countries haven't even touched that yet!
India has always been way better and very smart in technology. Their technological ideas and implementation could be seen in a few of their TV shows, cartoons, movies, etc. Space technology was their real priority, evidently. Fresh blood coming to serve and work on technology shows that their seniors are making space for bright minds rather than ruling the institutions.
On the other hand, Pakistan lacks MANY things.
1. We all know who, our Minister is for Science and Technology and his non serious attitude.
2. BUT WAIT, is it only a matter of 6 months that Pakistan needed to be along INDIA?
3. NO! We have been facing terrorism, crime, poverty and political instability, lack of basic education and much more since last 72 years.
4. We are economically unstable
5. Our teachers don't TEACH. I am sorry but yes. Our teachers make us remember some facts just for the sake of exams. They do not encourage the students to go for practical work and more inventions.
6. The stubborn seniors in institutions don't let their juniors grow.
7. Our youth is wasting their time with some useless things that is hindering them to use their minds with science or any other field.
8. The unemployment! Our youth has no time to think extra or work extra. They have to just get a job and earn and feed the family. They have no time to work on their dreams or for a bigger purpose.
PAKISTAN HAS MORE POTENTIAL THAN INDIA but the TALENT IS GETTING WASTED.
Now let's come to the memes Pakistani Boys and Girls were making on Indian failed Attempt.
It is not the first time or not just Pakistan, who trolling the rival on failing something. It is something happening from last 72 years when even there was no social media. All the trolling was very entertaining though.
But here's what I have to say.
1. We didn't even try that attempt though. Why are we making fun of India? Have we reached the sun already?
2. The critics said the same as my first point that our youth should just shut up etc. and focus on their technology. WHAT? Does our youth have access? We are literally uninformed of the opportunities in science and technology. There are not enough institutions. The existing institutions are just giving out degrees. The working spaces of technology are good for nothing because we lack funds, we lack resources and we lack fresh minds. And fresh minds can't reach that easily because of the selfish seniors.
Then what else we can do making the memes? But again, we have to be reasonable and give it a break. We are not Newton ourselves.  And also, they make memes on us too...
The issue is not the memes or trolls now. The matter is, WE NEED TO WORK ON TECHNOLOGY AND OUR EDUCATION SYSTEM in order to be somewhere.

OUR SOLDIERS, OUR PRIDE

Defence Day is celebrated across Pakistan every year on 6th September ,where we pay our heartiest tribute to our national heroes, being Ghazis or Shuhada.
This year, we are specially associating this day with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters, who are defending their piece of land and fighting a very struggling battle since  last 72 years.
Independence is the greatest blessing and the defence of sovereignty and freedom is no doubt the most strenuous and challenging.
We sleep everyday with safety and not a single thought about our country's sovereignty because we have this strong belief that our Armed forces are second to none and that they are defending us on every front.
Let us not forget that relaxation is not in the blood of our soldiers or pilots, who are sacrificing their lives to defend this dear homeland.
Let us not forget that Kashmiris are wounded. Their smiles have faded away and their dreams have shattered.
Let's show the world that this nation is standing with Kashmiris till their last breath.
Let's prove to the world, that this force is unsurpassable
This is the time to be together on one purpose. May Allah bless us with Unity. This is the time to take action. May Allah bless these soldiers with that courage of Khalid Bin Waleed and Ali ul Murtaza. If this is the time to sacrifice, may Allah bless the shuhda with the honor to set examples like Karbala. and lay their lives in front for no power but Allah.
If this is the time to be strong and ready for the sacrifices, may the mothers and sisters be blessed with some part of courage like Fatima (RA).
.
May Allah show his special mercy to Pakistan and IOK. Aameen.
.

How to overcome conflict among institutions ?

A state is governed by the institutions. Each one of it has to work within due jurisdiction described by the constitution of that respective state. Defacto, an auspicious society builds up when its institutions work with mutual comprehension.
The question is, "What ails Pakistan today"? From news headlines to talk shows, this question has so much flummoxed & seems obfuscating hitherto. Everyone tries to sideswipe as per his own mindset, but as being a libertarian, the bone of contention is the conflict among the institution of Pakistan. Each of it looks in a hurry to excoriate the other institution in spite of reducing the tension. Each of the institution portrays to be incorrigible & in fact, this is a gob smacking moment for the people of Pakistan. Flimsy nature of institutions is no doubt the harbinger of inadvertent state & of course has some pernicious impact upon their own credibility.
Judiciary should work within its ambit. Judges have to build a knack of making decisions according to injunctions of law & ambiguity. Pros & cons, they should avoid excoriating reviews about anyone.
A layman wishes for an auspicious life, so the legislators should enact such lucid & cogent laws that can bring a change in life. Enactment of the code of conduct for politicians would be surely a winsome step towards luminous life, in fact. The culture of vulgar & gruesome language must be changed in order to develop a civilized society.
The institutions like NAB, FIA, etc should investigate the investment to confirm all the facts by undergoing due diligence. The institutions of intelligence should debunk bigot & such elements must be defiled. Those elements that give rise to nepotism must be exposed. PEMRA should enact a policy of due-diligence of media houses & to revoke them from broadcasting a negative & gruesome image of Pakistan before the entire world. Moreover, there should be no compromise upon those media houses that dictate the integrity of institutions.
In the home stretch, hitherto, whatever has been done is a reflection of past, we have to pass by a docile way by continuously seeing the axes of that reflection that help us to reach our destination, anxiously waiting for us.

Myths & Conceptions about Psychology Prevailing in Pakistani Society

Psychology is a scientific study of human behavior and mental process. Psychologists deal with behavioral & emotional challenges faced by any person in daily life. In Pakistani society, the field of Psychology is facing lack of awareness as well as other social sciences. The strict cultural belief system and customs lead to the formation of various myths and stereotypes about human behavior and mental processes. Due to these myths, the “mental health” of a person is not considered as important as physical health.

There are so many different misconceptions about exactly what psychology is and is not.
Psychology is not a real Science: Many people believe that psychology is not real science, it’s just art of speaking learned by psychologists to make people chump. Reality is not so simple. Today’s psychology & its therapies are based on empirical evidence and scientific research conducted on human behavior. Scientific observation and learning human behavior through experiments was started in 1879, when Wilhelm Wundt built the first psychology laboratory at the University of Leipzig, Germany. After that, psychology is noted as a science apart from philosophy and biology.
Psychology is sometimes called a “soft science” as it is different from ‘hard sciences’ like Mathematics and Physics, where the phenomenon is more definitively measured and widely applicable. As the human psyche is so variable and complex, so exact and 100% accuracy to understand human behavior is not possible but psychological research results try to understand and imitate most of it.
Psychology is Easy: Many people believe that psychology is nothing more than “common sense” and therefore is an easy field to master. In reality, the study of psychology involves arduous training in topics ranging from statistics to Psychopathology. A bachelor degree in psychology does not make you a Clinical Psychologist but it demands tough training in clinics & hospitals after pursuing your master degree.
Psychology classes can be equally tough like students in other sciences particularly for students, who have little experience with the subject or who have a limited background in subjects such as science and math.  So, anyone thinking about making a career in psychology by just getting a degree is living in fool’s paradise.
“Psychological Problems” or “Demonic Possession”: In Pakistan, mental illness and psychological problems are considered by some to be an encounter with Shaitan or demons, who have taken over one's body and mind. It is also assumed that it is caused by the black magic performed by enemies and jealous persons. Sleep paralysis is considered to be an encounter with evil jinns or demons, who have taken over one's body. Similarly, the persons having Bi-polar disorder or patients of Schizophrenia are considered to be possessed by some demonic power. Same is the case with patients of Epileptic Seizures. All these are psychological & neurological disorders with having a large number of treatment methods available. Due to strong superstitious beliefs, Pakistanis from all walks of life routinely turn to faith healers to remedy various health problems, from abdominal pain to Epilepsy, marital life & financial crises and getting a good fortune surprise. In the end, people lost both health & wealth. These superstitious beliefs and false practices can be reduced by educating the community through awareness campaigns, which can be launched through community centers like Masjids & Schools.
Limited Number of Career Options: It is to be believed in Pakistani society that pursuing a degree in psychology gives you a limited number of career options. Reality is different, Psychologists and counselors are required in almost every department of Governmental and Non-Governmental organizations. But keep one thing in mind that you should have pursued master degree before starting your career and also a doctoral degree in some cases. Following are some areas (but not limited), where spaces are vacant for psychologists:
·         Armed Forces of Pakistan & Intelligence agencies
·         Public Service Commissions
·         Health Services & Hospitals
·         Academic Positions
·         Educational Psychologists at Schools, Colleges and higher studies institutes. (Emergent Space)
·         Child Psychologists(Emergent Space)
·         Speech Therapist
·         Forensic Psychologist in Law-Enforcement institutes. (Emergent Space)
·         Rehabilitation Psychologists
·         HR Consultants in various business organizations
·         Counseling Psychologists
·         Many more options, as the field in emerging phase In Pakistan
How Myths can be debunked: These myths and misconceptions about psychology can only be disapproved by spreading awareness about scientific knowledge and facts. Teachers at primary and secondary schools can educate students about these myths and false superstitious beliefs. The religious Scholars can break the shackles regarding myths by educating and desensitizing the common people on different superstitious beliefs and taboos. Electronic, print and social media can play their roles by making dramas & films and conducting awareness programs. University students can educate their families and community about Psychology & Psychological problems.

Plastic Bags: A Main Destruction for the Environment

Most of us have heard that the use of plastics is a big issue for the environment. Plastic bags tend to disrupt the environment in a serious way. There are many health problems with the use of plastic bags. People often use polythene bags to carry goods and food too. When they put the hot food in the plastic bag, it releases the toxic chemicals in the food, and food becomes poisonous. Same as when people carry fruits, vegetables, and groceries in the plastic bags, the chemicals that are on the bags stick with the grocery items or fruits. It causes serious health problems in the lives of people.
Plastic bags get into the soil and slowly release toxic chemicals. They remain in the soil for millions of years and cannot decompose. They eventually break down into the soil, with the unfortunate result being that animals eat them and often choke and die. Usually seen that they surround the bird's neck and caused the death of them. It is examined that injured crows found to have 50 or more plastic bags in their digestive tracts. It is also seen that animals who swallow plastic bags can’t digest them rather it filled the intestines of the animals. While livestock and domestic animals are certainly at risk from plastic bags and suffer from serious health issues because they gaze around the plastic pollution all day.
It is also harmful to marine life too. The aquatic varieties eat plastic bags and suffer from serious health problems once they do. They get around the fins of the fish and harm them a lot. Small fish face more harm than bigger ones.
Plastic bags cause significant environmental damage. Runoff water carries plastic bags and stuck them into the sewage system and block the water flow. Due to the blockage, the roads become flooded. This excess water can damage cars, buildings and other property and it also collects pollutants and spreads them far and wide, where they cause additional damage.
They also harm the environment during the production of the plastic bags because it releases toxic chemicals and gases during the production which mixed up with the air and polluted the whole environment.
As plastic bags are a significant environmental concern, we really need to carefully examine the challenges and implement strategies to reduce the damage they cause and address these issues when developing public policy.

Diversity of Muslim Ummah

Muslims have divine orders to perform Umrah and Hajj in their lives if they are well-off enough. Almost every Muslim, whether rich or poor craves to see Holy cities of Makkah and Medina in their lifetime, even if they can’t afford still they keep this desire. There is something mysterious about having this desire of performing Umrah and Hajj, almost everyone who wholeheartedly wish to do this, ultimately get the chance. Allah blesses them with the chances, resources, and sources.

What I loved most about my Umrah experience was the tremendous Diversity of Muslim Ummah. All colors, customs, nationalities, and backgrounds were merged up into a large one body, which moved together on one Azan, on the call of one Imam, one prayer, one Lord. And that explained how truly Muslims were said to be like one body even when they are spread over whole Earth. Muslims were taught to feel each other’s pain and grief like body parts and when you experience the Umrah and Hajj phase you come to realize how true it is.

Everyone there wishes to do better for each other; everyone tries to care for others, nobody wants to hurt others. People are ready to provide facilities to others, kids are greeted with love, and gifts, and sweets, elders give respect and humility to each other. And one wonders that what if we take these spirits back to our lands and practice them there how beautiful society we can build. Think about it J

Writing career in Pakistan ?

Thinking great is not enough. Imposing it practically and spreading it as awareness is more important. If one has knowledge, intuition, spiritual understanding of deep philosophies of life and nature, one becomes silent, isolated and prefers solitude. But what an introvert person like this will do with so much wisdom alone but not share it to the world and die. Then it’s nearly useless and unjust to the world, where people crave for knowledge desperately. Imagine what would have happened if Iqbal, Rumi, Plato, Shakespeare, Einstein, and many others never shared their wisdom with the world. Then I think, we would have been still luring in the stone age.
I believe, a mother is born with her child, before that a woman cannot taste motherhood same I started believing about writing. In this regard, I believe a writer is born with the readers. When you start writing your thoughts, you have a clear picture of your readers in mind. It’s natural, and you already know what kind of people would relate to your thoughts. Not everyone is going to agree, also not everyone going to reject you. You are made for your relevant soul tribe; your soul mates will understand you widely and clearly.
Coming to the title, I become consumed by my long-term fears of not being read or reach to my soul tribe to the extent I want. As a writer, I’ve spent nearly half of my mere life writing up things for people and for myself but still, I’m a mere untitled drop in the wide ocean of the world. Tried to contact many of the big-named publishers and never got a positive response. Because I thought getting read by people in Pakistan needs to have a big publishing house on your back and its true somehow. But one cannot assume to have writing as a full-time career, in the rising financial and economic pressure one cannot pursue their passion as a profession. Writing here demands you to volunteer but no gains in a material sense. So volunteering is for good for so long. I do not want to sense selfish, but yes one wants to be recognized and loved for their work, ultimately. I have no doubts about the bibliophiles, book lovers or readers in Pakistan, they are abundant and almost everywhere but yes I have some reservations about the writers. As many of us, are still looking for a better and positive platform to reach out on national and international levels.  Thanks to Amazon for providing the facilities of self-publishing but we need it in Pakistan more and more.
Thanks to the team Positive Pakistan, who always motivates the bloggers and writers to write something. Thanks to all of them for providing us this amazing platform of Positive Pakistan E-mag to speak out our hearts.

CHILD ABUSE: The Biggest Social Issue Nowadays

It is said that you cannot understand the feelings of a Parent until you become one and being a mother makes you a thousand times more sensitive than you ever were. A mother can feel the pain of another mother, a mother can feel the pain of another mother’s child’s miseries. In the scenario of the recent Child Abuse incident, I have been suffering a lot that I was even unable to hold a pen and write. But being a writer it makes me feel embarrassed to ignore the issues that have gone too out of hand in the society. What kind of society we are living? What kind of society we are making? Where we are heading to? Humanity is ashamed of us, who do not care for others around us. There were times when people were daring enough to speak whenever they saw something bad happening, people stopped it even by force, people got involved in the matters, which were intolerable in society. But in this new age, so-called ‘PRIVACY’ matters changed everything. Walls became higher, hearts became narrower, human interactions became lesser, and souls became shallower. Nobody knows or cares what’s even happening in their neighborhood.
We were the people, who were declared to perform ‘Amar bilmaruf-wa nahi anil munkar’  to call a spade a spade, to stop the evil by hand, not by hand then by speaking. If can’t, then by heart. But it’s a strange time we are moving in, where nobody cares for anything anymore. We have no time to stop the evil going around until it engulfs us all together. We need to wake up from this deep slumber of ignorance and negligence that enslaves us from speaking truth, from fighting the negativity that bound us from performing justice. Why we let such kind of evil characters to snatch our children, to eat them up like beasts, why not we should become a live shield, strong as a rock that protects our generations from every evil that comes their way. Why we cannot create an environment of mutual growth and evolution in society by spreading awareness, practicing Islamic values and practices that take away all foreign propaganda, conspiracies, and negativity. We need to educate our people in society against such immoral crimes, teach our children about their basic rights, their protection and how they can fight such kind of trapping murderers.
